Biometric data capture

Dear Applicants seeking Indian Visas in Bangladesh,

Biometric data capture will be phased in at our Indian Visa Application Centers in Bangladesh from 09/03/2022 as per the extant rules of the Government of India. This is the same data that is already being collected upon arrival in India for all passengers. Once the data is collected at the point of visa issuance, processing at entry points in India will be expedited. Accordingly, 10 finger biometric data and photograph of the visa applicants will be captured at the time of submission of the Visa Applications at the IVACs.

Applicants must come to the Visas Centre,10 finger biometric data and photographs of the visa applicants will be captured at the time of submission of the Visa Applications at the IVACs. This process is running only at IVAC Dhaka, Khulna, Rajshahi, Bogura, Thakurgoan, Rangpur, Chittagong, Comilla, Brahmanbarioa, Noakhali, Sylhet,  & Mymensingh, further phases of biometric collection will be rolled out in other centers in stages. We solicit the cooperation of all our Visa Applicants in Bangladesh to enable an early and smooth rollout of these facilities.
