No appointment date for women travellers (with confirmed journey tickets)
After the successful trial run of the pilot scheme enabling women travellers to deposit tourist visa applications without prior appointment dates/e-token, the High Commission of India will be extending the scheme w.e.f 15 October, 2016 at Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC), Sector-7, Road 18, House 56, Uttara, Dhaka 1230.
2. Women travellers with confirmed air, rail or bus tickets (issued by authorized operators for Bangladesh-India bus services) can deposit their tourist visa applications without an appointment date/e-token from 1000 hours to 1300 hours at Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC), Uttara. Women can also deposit Tourist Visa Applications on behalf of the immediate family members accompanying them to India.
3. Women applicants and their family members seeking visas will need to have confirmed journey tickets with them when they apply (to be shown at the time of entry). The date of journey should be 7 days after but within a month of the submission of the visa application form.
4. This is a goodwill gesture extended to women and their family members to facilitate ease of securing Indian visas and to strengthen people-to-people contacts between India and Bangladesh.
* Women traveler’s counter will function at IVAC, Uttara from Sunday to Thursday from 1000 hours to 1300 hours till further instructions.
